Health and Family Stability

Our Goal

Our goal is to lead community-wide efforts to improve the health of children, adults and seniors by focusing on prevention, education and access to health related programs. 

Our Strategies

  1. Physical Health: We will support efforts which improve nutrition, increase physical activity, and provide increased access to medication assistance and disability services.
  2. Mental Health –We will support efforts to increase the number of residents accessing mental health services.
  3. Prevention Counseling- We will support efforts to educate and provide resources regarding substance abuse, physical abuse and sexual/reproductive health.

Education

Our Goal
Our goal is to prepare children to enter kindergarten ready to learn and to increase the number of students who are career and college ready. 

Our Strategies

  1. School Readiness – We will support efforts to increase the number of children socially, emotionally and intellectually prepared to enter school.
  2. Education Services - We will support efforts to improve career and college readiness.

Income/Financial Stability

Our Goal
Our goal is to help individuals and families meet basic needs and achieve financial independence.


Our Strategies

  1. Basic Needs – We will support efforts that provide individuals and families with basic needs such as food, housing and emergency shelter, transportation, access to healthcare, and access to quality affordable childcare.
  2. Financial Counseling – We will support efforts that educate and counsel individuals and families to improve their financial stability.
  3. Employment Counseling and Job Training – We will support efforts to assist the unemployed and underemployed to identify and maximize their employment and career potential.
