United Way to Host 4th Habitat Build March-29-2010

On March 23, 2010, Wachovia, a Wells Fargo Company, announced its $35,000 grant contribution to fund the entire United Way and Habitat for Humanity build at Ben Court subdivision, Graham, in early October. In addition to donating funds, Wachovia is also providing volunteer labor. Wachovia is able to utilize Wells Fargo's Team Member Volunteer Program (TMVP), which is an initiative that combines employee volunteer hours with financial support. This will be the second year that United Way and Habitat for Humanity have benefited from this program. The majority of the funds are provided by Wells Fargo Housing Foundation as part of the TMVP progrm and the rest of the funds will come from the Wachovia Wells Fargo Foundation. With the help of Wachovia and Wells Fargo volunteers and others from the community, from October 1 to October 15, more than 250 volunteers representing 20 companies will unite to construct the house. Each day, local businesses will provide lunch, snacks, and drinks to each volunteer.
