Community Guide to Assistance Released by United Way

The Health Divsion of United Way of Alamance County's Community Council has developed a Community Guide to Assistance.  The division wanted to elaborate and update the Basic Needs brochure developed a few years ago, in particular adding some health areas.  They quickly realized that this would be a helpful tool for all of the community to use; namely, nonprofits, for-profits, individuals and others in need of resource informaiton.

Community Guide to Assistance has many useful phone numbers that are categorized for easy reference.  Obvisously, not every resource can be listed, so also included is the website for NC211 which is searchable database of resource information. NC211 can also be accessed by calling 2-1-1.

The Community Guide to Assistance may be obtained by clicking here.  It can also be found on the United Way website; www.uwalamance.org under Community Impact. (This document may be reproduced).
