The Power and Place Collaborative warmly invites you to join us for two events celebrating the diverse communities of Alamance County: 

The Night of Intergenerational Storytelling begins at 5 pm on Wednesday, November 9th at the Mayco Bigelow Community Center at North Park and features activities for all ages and community members, including gallery walks, a story booth, oral histories, and art exhibits. Building Bridges: Belonging in Burlington is a Screening of Alamance County Stories that will take place on Saturday, December 4 from 10-12 pm in McKinnon Hall at Elon University. This screening will feature oral history digital stories co-created over the fall 2022 semester with the African American Cultural Arts & History Museum, the Burlington Masjid, Elon University, and the Mayco Bigelow Community Center. The purpose of this project is to record, preserve, and celebrate stories that represent the diverse voices and histories of our county with the aim of building bridges of understanding.
