Free Mental Health Resource for Adults

Strong Minds, Strong Communities is offering a program to help adults lead happier and healthier lives by promoting mental health.

The Strong Minds program invites adults 18 years or older who are fluent in English and/or Spanish with symptoms of depression, anxiety, or trauma to participate. Participants will learn skills and strategies to handle stress, combat maladaptive thoughts, and develop more positive habits.

Eligible participants may receive at no cost: 10 psychoeducation sessions, referral to services, and up to $245 in gift cards. We can see participants virtually by phone or zoom during the pandemic and we serve anyone who lives in the Triad.

To make a referral, find us on NC Care 360 or email us at strongminds@uncg.edu. To partner with us to have one of our Community Health Workers available at a future event, contact project director Claire Poindexter at c_poinde@uncg.edu. We would love to do outreach with you to help promote mental health and reduce stigma so that those that need support can access it!
