Friendship Adult Day Services, Inc. is a NC State Certified Social Adult Day Program, providing daycare services, M-F, from 7am-5pm, in Burlington, NC for adults, 18 and over, with mild to moderate physical/mental health disabilities, mental illness, Alzheimer’s disease/related dementias and other challenges of aging. 

The Full-time, Salaried Exempt Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors. This person implements programs adopted by Board; appoints and leads staff; develops budgets; monitors revenues and expenditures; identifies revenue sources and writes grant proposals; plans marketing, fundraising and PR, implements MIS; and is responsive to all forms of diversity. 

Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Four year degree, preferably in a related field. Experience in Human Services field, preferably with the elderly and or/disabled. Experience in Supervision, Accounting Practices, Grant Writing and Fundraising. Must have good communication and networking skills. Pass a Physical, certifying that the employee has no illness or health condition that would pose a risk to others and that the employee can perform the duties assigned in the job, has a clean drug test and negative TB screening. Pass a Criminal Background Check. Complete CPR and First Aid Training and re-certification as required. Have reliable transportation.

JOB DESCRIPTION – EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. To be responsible to the Board of Directors.
2. To oversee all documentation as needed for certification and to ensure that Center is in compliance with all local, State and Federal regulations.
3. To oversee the general and overall operation of the Center.
4. To oversee supervision, hiring and dismissal of staff.
5. To supervise completion of all time sheets, (vacation, sick days, etc.).
6. To receive referrals and conduct interviews for possible participants and their caregiver.
7. To oversee problem solving and give aid to clients.
8. To oversee all fiscal management, including monthly invoices and Local, State and Federal grants .
9. To seek out grant opportunities and apply for funding
10. To prepare yearly Grants and monthly billing of Private Pay/grant funding reimbursements and vendor invoices.
11. To act as a liaison/Community Partner with other agencies in the county.
12. To conduct Public Relations within the community (marketing, public speaking, fundraising).
13. To act as Program Coordinator/Director in their absence and fill in as needed to maintain client to staff ratio. 
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years of age. At least a 4 year degree, preferably in a related field. Experience in Human Services field, preferably with the elderly and or/disabled. Experience in Supervision, Accounting Practices, Grant Writing and Fundraising.

Starting Salary $44.5k - $47k, based on experience, with chance for increase as business grows into our new facility. Holiday Bonus, each year, as funds permit.
