October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month!

 

NC Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Joins Broad Effort to Observe National Disability Employment Awareness Month

A nationwide campaign will take place in October 2021

(Burlington, NC) — 10/6/2021 —The NC Division of Vocational Rehabilitation today announced its participation in National Disability Employment Awareness Month, an annual awareness campaign that takes place each October. The purpose of National Disability Employment Awareness Month is to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America's workers with disabilities. This year's theme is "America’s Recovery: Powered by Inclusion". The Burlington Unit office will offer disability sensitivity training to local employers and community partners, a ribbon-cutting in their new Reidsville, NC office, and feature PSAs that showcase the talent that people with disabilities bring to the workforce.
