The Psychology of Spending

Each person has a money personality type that influences their attitudes about spending and saving. By recognizing the tendencies and attitudes that have shaped past decisions, participants will be able to make the necessary adjustments to change harmful financial habits into productive ones .
 

Renee Shipko Rohrer is the Community Engagement Manager for Truliant Federal Credit Union. In this role, she manages philanthropic giving, volunteerism and financial education for the $3.3 billion credit union serving the Carolinas and Virginia. Prior to joining Truliant in 2014, Rohrer worked for 15 years in nonprofit marketing, fundraising and volunteer management. Rohrer has degrees from UNC Greensboro and Appalachian State University and is a graduate of both Leadership Winston-Salem and Leadership Davidson County. She earned her Credit Union Development Educator certification in 2017 from the National Credit Union Foundation. Rohrer serves on several boards, including HandsOn NWNC (Winston-Salem) and The Volunteer Center of the Triad.
