Slow Internet? No Internet? We need to know!

This Fall, Alamance County helped bring in a company to provide high speed internet access to some areas of the county that had none.  We know there are many folks that have no or slow internet to their home.  Alamance County has an opportunity to show these companies, the NC legislature, and the Federal Government that their data needs to be fixed and there are more folks in the county that need to connect to the internet that cannot.

Help us tell them you need high speed internet lines to run down your street and by your home by visiting https://ncbroadband.gov/survey and taking a 5-minute survey from the NC Government by Friday, January 13, 2023. If you do not have internet access, you can participate in the survey by calling or texting “Internet” to 919-750-0553.

Again, in order to access new federal broadband dollars to help county folks, the federal government just released a new broadband map that Alamance County can suggest edits. Alamance County can show the Federal Government where their map made mistakes and where there is little to no internet service in the county, but we only have until January 13, 2023.

So please take five minutes to fill out this state survey https://ncbroadband.gov/survey and forward this survey to any friends, colleagues, and community members that you believe may be interested.
