We All Have a Brain Free Virtual Workshop: How Dementia Education and Resources Offer Support to Nonprofits

The Alzheimer's Association is pleased to share a free virtual workshop, We All Have a Brain: How Dementia Education and Resources Offer Support to Nonprofits, on Wednesday, August 17 from 10-11:30 AM. Register at tinyurl.com/weallhaveabrain1

Did you know that Alzheimer's is the 6th leading cause of death in America and the 5th for seniors? Over 6.5 million Americans are living with the disease and it disproportionately affects women, minorities, veterans and other groups. Since Alzheimer's is a progressive brain disease, we are all at risk.

Attendees will learn about the difference Alzheimer's and dementia, the major risk factors and gain resources from us and other community organizations that could benefit your own mission and those who you serve. This is a public program, but those who serve seniors or older volunteers, in healthcare, in education, with diverse populations, in health and social equity and within the faith communities will benefit from the education and resources.
