Titan Barksdale joined the United Way in April 2023 as the Housing Strategy Manager. Titan has an extensive background in Housing, Eviction Prevention, Case Management, Project Management and Communications. He graduated from the University of South Carolina and began his career in Journalism. With that focus, he immersed himself into the communities he served, pursuing stories about emergent issues affecting individuals and families. “He brings such a wonderful combination of experience from his journalism background combined with human services work and some extensive work in the housing space.” Beth Bourdeax, Founder-Partners for Impact, writes “He is a calm leader who comes alongside folks, getting to know them and easily moving things with confidence and thoughtfulness.”
Titan will continue our work to improve Affordable Housing in Alamance County. He will dedicate much of his time to forging relationships with community partners, coordinating programs and resources addressing housing, advocacy for quality affordable housing and comprising new models for addressing housing inequities in our communities.
