Mike Brown, Jr. is a community advocate, servant leader, and passionate supporter of initiatives that strengthen individuals, families, and communities throughout Alamance County. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Mike moved to Alamance County in January 2021 and quickly became involved in serving the local community.

Mike’s commitment to community service began through volunteering with local organizations and community events. His career in local radio as a producer and on-air personality gave him the opportunity to connect with people throughout Alamance County and support numerous community projects, fundraisers, and outreach efforts.

Today, Mike serves as the Associate Pastor of AMP Church in Burlington and is a North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist. He is also continuing his professional development through the Impact Alamance Non-Profit Leadership Institute. Through his professional, ministry, and community involvement, Mike has developed a strong passion for building relationships, connecting people with resources, and creating opportunities for positive change.

Mike believes meaningful community impact happens when people, organizations, businesses, and nonprofits work together toward a common goal. He is honored to serve as a member of the United Way of Alamance County Board and looks forward to contributing his experience, community connections, and passion for service to help strengthen Alamance County.

Outside of his community and professional work, Mike enjoys CrossFit, endurance running, trail marathons, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
