The Tocqueville Society recognizes those philanthropic leaders who demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to Alamance County by investing $10,000 or more during our fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). Named after the French historian Alexis de Tocqueville, who praised the American spirit of voluntary action for the common good, this society brings together local champions who devote their resources to tackling our community’s most pressing challenges. To ensure a significant impact on our local mission, members contribute at least $5,000 in undesignated funds to United Way of Alamance County, while having the opportunity to designate the remainder of their gift to other local non-profits or specific United Way of Alamance County initiatives, such as our housing, food, and essential support programs.

Membership - $10,000+
