Candy joined the United Way in June 2022 as our Public Benefits Navigator. Due to increasing needs, in June 2023 Candy's role has evolved into our Community Engagement Manager. The goal of this position is to increase awareness and access to low-to-moderate income individuals through Resource Alamance. Candy will also oversee the daily processes of our in-house Tax Time program, which provides free tax return preparation for qualified individuals.

Before joining United Way, she previously worked in the textile industry and most recently at the Alamance Chamber.  cure environment.  Candy was born and raised in Alamance County and currently resides in Burlington.  She is a volunteer with Little Pink House of Hope.  She loves spending time at the beach or any body of water especially in the summer which is her favorite season.  She has two children and one grandchild whom she adores.
