Community Investments

United Way of Alamance County commits to leveraging all of our assets (convening, strategic investments, awareness building, advocacy) to create more equitable communities and reflect on our progress. Together we can ensure each individual has access to the opportunities and resources needed to live happy, healthy lives.

As nonprofits in Alamance County, we are all facing some very challenging and unprecedented times. For the betterment of our community and those in need, it is imperative that we all come together and unify our strengths.  This is the only true way we can make a difference.  Our current priorities remain focused on the areas of health, education and income.  COVID-19 has definitely increased those needs, especially in food and housing and we pledge to remain diligent in our vision for a thriving Alamance County where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

United Way of Alamance County is proud to announce we will be funding 20 Community Investments in the 2021 calendar year. Board and staff have worked diligently to transform this process to focus on equity and historically underserved populations. Both staff and board members are participating in training and strategic planning to move this work forward. We continue to fund in the areas of health, education and financial stability.
