2022 NC Covid-19 Student Response Corps: Invitation to Request an Intern

We are writing to announce the third year of the NC COVID-19 Student Response Corps, which places students in government and nonprofit internships to support COVID-19 response and other efforts. Since the program began in 2020, the Response Corps has placed nearly 200 students across North Carolina in internship opportunities.

We are happy to announce the relaunch of the Response Corps Program. This year we will be hosting virtual office hours as an alternative to information sessions. These Zoom office hours will be hosted in March on Tuesdays from 1:30-2:30pm (link). If you are unable to attend or would prefer a one-on-one call, please reach out to us directly at carroll@sog.unc.edu. Additionally, you can access information sessions from 2021 here. We will announce to prospective interns that applications are live in mid-March and we will reach out again to announce they are officially live. Finally, the two-day training for interns will take place in early June.

If you are interested in becoming a host organizations submit an intern request forms. This form will populate in our public database shared with colleges and universities. Students apply directly to host organizations. Please feel free to forward this email to organizations that may be interested in participating in the program.

We look forward to collaborating on this effort and ask that you share the Response Corps opportunity with your network. If you have questions, contact information is below.
