Alamance County Poetry Stroll 2026 Call for Poets

The Alamance County Poetry Stroll 2026 is coming in April, and we want your poetry to display in the window of an Alamance County business!

Poets can submit up to two poems for this contest. They need to be relatively short (around 20 lines, to fit onto an 11 x 17 poster), family-friendly, and previously unpublished works. We don't award 1st/2nd/3rd place, but we do have a Readers Choice contest, where the top three voted-on poems win a swag basket from the library!

This year, we're partnering with the United Way to promote their work with affordable housing. Thus, this year's contest has a theme - what does home mean to you?

Enter by visiting our website, https://library.alamancecountync.gov/, downloading the entry form, and submitting 1 - 2 poems to the Burlington Writers Club email (listed on the form). Forms and poems are due by February 15, 2026.
