Community Roundtable with Alamance Achieves

My name is Lucia Lozano Robledo and I am the Elon Year of Service fellow working at Alamance Achieves. On behalf of Alamance Achieves, I am excited to invite you to join a series of Community Roundtables: The State of Education in Alamance County. Alamance Achieves believes in a collective impact model which centers learning alongside one another and aligning efforts and shared strategies – and we want YOU at the table.

The Community Roundtable Series is a part of the larger Community Voice Project, a project that has been underway for over a year seeking to capture community voice and vision for education equity. The roundtables consisted of an interactive presentation of education outcomes in Alamance County, and an activity that asked participants to prioritize education system indicators as entry points for creating systems-level change. We learned so much from the 8 roundtables we held last December that engaged several groups in the community, and are hoping to continue the conversation with other community groups.

You can learn more about the insights from our first round of conversations from the blog post linked below. If you are interested in talking about education outcomes and want to learn more about how to become advocates and actionable for education equity, please register for the Community Council of United Way’s Community Roundtable happening May 10th 12:00-1:30pm through Zoom.
