Free Mental Health Program for Adults - English, Spanish, and Arabic!

Strong Minds

The Strong Minds program is a free, 10-session mental health program for adults 18+ in North Carolina. We help participants learn to activate positive behaviors to manage anxiety and depression and support the participants with information about and referrals to organizations to support social determinants of health needs. Our program is evidence-based and clinically proven to improve mental health symptoms and functioning!

Strong Minds currently offers the program in English, Spanish, or Arabic and sessions can be completed virtually (by phone or zoom) with flexible hours (evenings and weekends). Our motto is "be kind to your mind" and we encourage you to talk with clients about how they can take care of their mental wellness by giving Strong Minds a try! We've already offered our program to 600+ North Carolinians (many live in Alamance!).

Do you have clients, friends, or neighbors who have reported feeling stressed, worried, or down? Make a referral to us on NC Care 360 or by email at strongminds@uncg.edu. Our team will make immediate efforts to reach out to potential participants and see how our program may be able to support their needs. Participant name and contact information are all we need to get started.

Want flyers or resources delivered to your organization? Please reach out to Project Director, Claire Poindexter, at c_poinde@uncg.edu. Our flyers are available in Spanish, English, and Arabic.
