NC-211 Report: February 2026

We recently received our community’s NC-211 Report for the month of February 2026. 

A few important things to note:

  • More than 320 calls were received from Alamance County.
  • There were more than 420 recognized needs identified from those calls.
  • Of the 99 unmet needs (where 211 has received no information from our community about available resources), at least 25 were from unique categories. 18 of those unique categories pertained to housing.

The full list of gaps in our community include:

  • Healthcare: medical care expense assistance, non-emergency medical transportation, specialized information and referral for mitochondrial diseases
  • Housing: electric service payment assistance, gas service payment assistance, homeless motel vouchers, homeless shelter, housing down payment loans/grants, landlord/tenant assistance, low income/subsidized private rental housing, mortgage payment assistance, motel bill payment assistance, rapid rehousing programs, rent payment assistance, rental deposit assistance, security deposit payment assistance, transitional housing/shelter, utility deposit assistance, water service payment assistance 
  • Transportation: automobile insurance payment assistance, automobile payment assistance, general ParaTransit/Community Ride programs
  • Other: comprehensive information & referral, extreme weather shelters, undesignated temporary financial assistance
