We wanted to extend an invite for leaders in the community who serve youth. At the Salvation Army's Red Shield Youth Center, we have arranged for our summer camp staff to receive service specific training in support of their growth and development as they work alongside youth this summer. The training sessions are led by seasoned, award-winning educators with a desire to better support the students we will all serve. We'd be happy to have other community organizations join us as we work to change the trajectories of the lives of many. The training dates/times/topics are as follows: (*Please note that all trainings will take place at the Red Shield Youth Center, 812 N. Anthony St., Burlington, NC 27217)
Saturday, May 30 (1-3pm): Classroom Management and Practical Ways to manage student behavior during camp
Tuesday, June 2 (2-330pm): Leading Collective Impact for a stronger community
Thursday, June 4 (2-330pm): Conflict Management and Effective team communication
If any organization is interested in sending staff, please have them to send me an email directly with their organization name and how many plan to attend each specified training so that we are able to plan accordingly (food, etc). Many thanks for your support and take care.
