The North Church Street Area Plan will look at existing conditions in the neighborhood such as businesses and housing, infrastructure like streets and sidewalks, and city- and county-owned properties like schools and parks. It will then develop tools and strategies that aim to spur commercial activity like attracting new businesses and new development and encouraging renovation and improvement of existing businesses. It will also look at ways to encourage renovation of and improvements to existing housing. The goal of the plan is to identify achievable short-term goals for the City and to identify long-term goals that can be used to guide City policy decisions.
