Summary
We are seeking a Clinical Advocate to join our team at Family Abuse Services of Alamance County. In this role, you will provide critical support and advocacy for victims of domestic violence, helping them navigate resources and services available to them. Your work will directly contribute to our mission of fostering safe and healthy relationships within the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct advocacy and support to clients affected by domestic violence.
- Assist clients in accessing medical, legal, and social services.
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate action plans.
- Educate clients about their rights and available resources.
- Collaborate with community organizations to enhance service delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in training sessions and community outreach initiatives.
- Provide trauma based therapeutic services for victims and their families at the Family Justice Center or emergency shelter.
- Meet with clients and their families regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with our community partners when the client requests other services.
- Provide complete documentation and records of assessments and treatments according to in-house policies.
- Foster trauma informed care to clients and maintain all ethical boundaries and laws applicable to the state of North Carolina.
