Benevolence Farm is a non-profit social enterprise that supports formerly incarcerated women and gender expansive people, in part, through an educational farming program. Our farm consists of raised beds for herb and flower cultivation, a caterpillar tunnel, barn, blueberry orchard, and small flock of laying hens. Our herbs and flowers are grown with natural and organic practices (non-certified) and infused into our farm-to-body care products produced onsite and sold nationwide.
This position involves growing the herbs and flowers in partnership with our farmers-in-training, which includes weed and pest management, bed preparation, compost management, pruning, seeding, harvesting, and drying. The manager is also responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure of farm buildings and structures.
The Farm Manager is onsite Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 am - 5 pm to supervise the farming workforce development program in partnership with enterprise staff. The manager is expected to maintain plant and animal health independently as needed. On-site times may vary by season.
